Halp - want to play T1, technical difficulties

Been away from T1/TW forever, want to play but having issues w/ both of Groove's configs w/o ScriptGL. Tried modifying resolution settings in clientprefs.cs to no avail. In fullscreen mode I have no cursor, and the best way I can describe it is zoomed in 400% showing only the upper left 1/4 of the screen. In windowed, I see the proper menu but get double mouse cursors (windows and T1), but they jump back to the center of the window when it has focus.

What is your OS and video card. System details are important when you can't run certain software. Just sayin'.
 
To clarify - I can't get past the initial screen. The in-game cursor starts roughly at the center of the window, but won't do anything but jump around the lower right 1/4 of the game window, with no tracking whatsoever (keeps jumping roughly back to center if you move the mouse). If I alt tab out, align the windows cursor to a button (options), then click w/o moving, I can hear the button click sound, but nothing happens. Odd.


If I change to fullscreen in clientprefs, it changes it back to windowed after either 1) a black screen then going windowed, or 2) loading the upper left quadrant of the initial screen in fullscreen (like you're zoomed in 400% and panned up and left)

Windows 7 Enterprise, Radeon HD 7950, 1920x1200 but I tried 1920x1080 and 800x600 to no avail.

did u try setting ur res in clientprefs too?

also did u try switching to fullscreen using alt-enter? my buddy choc has a similar issue in win8 where if he sets fullscreen, shit goes wrong res in the top corner, but if he alt-enters it works OK
 
Yeah, tried resetting in client prefs as well. Alt-Enter gets me to the full screen zoomed in 400% scenario. I've tried updating vid drivers, no dice. I'll try DDU and reinstall next...
 
did you have to use that because you're using text scaling higher than default 100%?

good to know what that option does, i have an old app @ a client that gets wacky when text is higher than 100% and maybe this will fix it
