I actually wondered every time he said it why he didn't clarify what it actually meant to have "Mexico pay for the wall." I mean... I understood from the very start that he would use economic measures to force them to pay. Hell, the wall will pay for itself indirectly in saved taxes if we can keep another million of those rats from burdening our social services.

Though I felt like it didn't take much thought to realize that "yeah... Mexico isn't going to wire Trump 30 Billion dollars.", I think it was stupid of Trump to not make it clear on how he would indirectly force them to pay.
