I doubt the dosfix.dll is the cause. Usually people are running 1.40 or 1.41 now and dosfix.dll is only for the 1.11/1.30 configs.

zoo if you are running a 1.11/1.30 config and you tried to run the 64 bit tribes that Unhelpful posted we have seen a situation where the play.gui file gets messed up. Once that happens then you can't run 1.11 or 1.30. The solution is to make a backup copy of play.gui and then remove it. The next time you start tribes you will have to re-organize your huds. Again this is only for 1.11/1.30 people who experimented with the 64 bit tribes.

I get crashing with 1.40 and 1.41. I have to delete playgui and restart 2 or 3 times.

actually if you just copy the playgui.cs into your autoexec.cs your huds will always stay the same. In fact you can just go into clientpref.cs and copy the hud variables from there as well.

for many games i play i use the autoexec.cs to hardcode certain preferences that get switched on updates. Sometimes tribes just messes up your stuff and you have to keep them saved in autoexec

well aren't you a fucking genius S_hift

I took a IQ test sometime in middle school and scored 129. My last most recent one was when I was in therapy. I was 19 years old and it was a different set of pictures and critical thinking questions. I scored 143 most of the pictures wanted me to notice what was wrong with them to the most minute detail. I still remember what the pictures where almost ten years later lol

You guys better start respecting S_hift. He's nearly Albert Einstein. Easily one of the highest IQ's here on TW
