Im talking about people who approve of Obama's performance out of allegiance to political lines. "Why do you approve of Obama's performance?" "Because Bush was a horrible president."

If you are a hardliner there will never be a president you approve of, because your ideology is so ridged that it is impractical.

Some people read into "approval" as a 100% representation of personal choices in the form of a president, those people are weird.

Total copout. Being a 'hardliner' is not a prerequisite to realize that Obama or Romney are both corrupt, lying pieces of **** that represent special interests. Arguing that one piece of **** is slightly less repulsive than the other is complete absurdity.

It is not impractical to want non-corrupt, honest politicians that respect our rights as well as the law. If you keep approving of pieces of ****, you will keep getting more of them. Unprincipled people like you, willing to settle for the lesser of two evils are the reason we get Bush and Obamas.

The system is set up to delegate power through special interest groups, prior to electing your favorite hardliner for President you will need to convince congress to change the laws regarding campaign finance and the electoral college.

I don't disapprove of everything Obama's done, but I feel that he has done more bad than good I guess. The 50% threshold is how I decide that I don't approve of his performance.

My question whenever I see a job approval poll is:

Who the **** is voting "support" and for which reasons do you support him? Being black doesn't count.

maybe impractical is the wrong word

'unrealistic' is probably what i'd choose

it's unrealistic to expect non-corrupt politicians. it's naive to think that they will respect your rights. it is ****ING DUMB to believe that you (as voters) have any influence at all over the way the country is run.

He never threatened to invade Syria. He proposed air-strikes, but when the polls showed a majority of Americans didn't want to do it, he decided not to.

I'd imagine there isn't a Republican on this board that supports John McCain.
