GG?

tl;dr

I made it up to the whole unreal gameplay jumping bullshit. Personally I'd rather just play tribes. If I felt the need to carry more weapons than I have fingers on one hand I'll just keep playing annihilation. I'll go play T;A at a gaming cafe if I'm in the mood to play unreal tournament with jetpacks.

How about people just stop trying to make a new tribes game? How about teaching game companies about producing non casual style games. Hardcore shooters with no limitations on were you can go. Sandbox style fps rpg.

UT movement is tbh great and unique (like quake and tribe),
Gametypes like Assault, C&H, CTF, VCTF, Siege, D&D,
F&R, Warfare, Greed (heavies killing but slow, lights
fast and picking up skulls - team work)... would allow
class and equipment changing + they wouldn't have
any pickups for health/armor or powerups, but only
repair kit (it would be automatic)
would have tribe like 3 weapons. Only thing TA and UT have in comon is engine. This game wasn't meant to be clone, but union of 3 greatest franchises ever made. It would be ultimate hardcore oldschool fps, if only some good company with enough resources and fans (to help and back it up) decided to do it.

Tnx for reply & happy new year

maybe it wasn't meant to be a clone but ascend was barely anything like tribes. It was more like renegades than anything else. That's actually probably why I hated it soo much... I dunno I think your game idea is good.

I think something like a kill confirmed mode would be fun. Like on black ops 2
instead of dog tags its skulls.

Yea TA looks like a shallow and faded copy, but once it had great potential, the potential hirez fucked up by stupid gameplay decisions and F2P model (which they implemented in a wrong way).

And what's that kill confirmed mode?

well in black ops 2 theres a game mode called kill confirm. Everytime you kill someone you have to go to were they died and pick up the dog tags. You can also deny enemy kills by picking up friendly player tags or your own dog tag.

the server doesn't confirm the kill until your player does.
