talks about the philosophy a bit:

from Alex Gardland - wrote the novel The Beach, wrote 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and Sunshine. Directed Ex Machina and Annihlation.

Probably the best Sci-Fi I have seen since The Expanse (although this is "near-future"). Well worth checking out.

The only problem:

.... possibly two of the ****tiest actors on the planet. It literally feels like they don't know English and are just stringing phonetic sounds together from a queue card... then they just repeat the sounds for a dozen takes until the director is like "**** it, good enough."

She didn't have any lines in Ex Machina, she was just the sex slave robot, right?

i like the show so far. very strange, but different. i like the quantum physics premise.

nick offerman of course is the best actor in this show BY FAR.

the asians don't bother me that much, she's just weird, and that's okay.

i like it so far. actually seems far less focused on sci-fi aspect than i would have expected.

it reminds me of beyond the black rainbow in terms of the plot and cinematography.

The Asian chick's character, plotline and development are incredibly boring.

The pacing of the show overall is also way too slow. Multiple episodes go by with literally nothing relevant happening.

From an editing standpoint, do we need 15+ scenes of the Asian chick looking sad and confused, or can that be communicated to the audience in 1-3 scenes?

The white scientist chick had a pretty good turn. I liked her playing this character much more than her role in Picard. Competence and decisiveness are much more interesting than "I don't know what I'm doing, I hope the crew gives me a chance!"

I dunno.. I feel like the show would've been MUCH better if it'd been edited down to 1.5 hrs instead of 8 hrs.
