I'll definitely give this game a shot, I'm worried the controls will be a too complicated though. Depends on how they implemented it.

It was a big relief to see all of them get the hang of the zero gravity controls really quickly. We had one very memorable session where a guy from a German gaming site totally dominated our producer. It was headshot after headshot after just a few minutes of play. After Gamescom we started our closed beta test which has just come to an end this week.

Obviously it's their own word, but I doubt they'd lie about the German dude, somebody being able to pick up the controls that easily is a good sign

Also some of the beta people have remarked that the controls are fairly intuitive

they'll probably take a little getting used to but ffs we're tribes players

Dont get me wrong. Cool Idea, will probably give it a shot. But this doesnt remind me of tribes anymore than Duke3d or any other game with a jetpack does.

The idea of new movement I get however.

^^There's some beta tester hands-on impressions here that are making me like the sound of the game even more. Sounds tactical as hell. Visual cues from jets, hiding in the shadows of asteroids, powering down the suit to float "dark" etc., definitely more than a simple fragfest

In other words it will sell 10k copies in its first month, unless it has such insanely high production values and marketing budget.

The movement in it looks amazing. It's also really ballsy to go with more realistic space sounds.
