The good news is that you're no longer going to wrecked tourist islands. The bad news is that I'm really not sure if Mexico is all that better.:o But the Bahamas should be fun.

As for a flak jacket, I wouldn't suggest anything less than an Iron Man suit at this point.

cozumel is a tiny island off the coast of playa del carmen, about an hour south of cancun
you'll be fine **** head. there's some good italian in playa del carmen (old italian colony). It's a 30 minute ferry between cozumel and playa if you get bored with cozumel

costa maya is probably 5 hours south of that by road, again, you'll be fine
thats basically the same stop though. You can see ruins i guess

2+ at sea. I think we leave Playa around 8pm and then the next two full days at sea before getting there at 6:30am on the third day.

Couple other cruises were redirected to Aruba. I was hoping we would be one of them as I've never been there.
