Lets look at a bad year for the flu, and then look at this year for COVID (will probably be the worst on record since we're still learning how to treat it). The flu is tracked by a stat called "P&I" which means Pneumonia & Influenza. We'll do the same for COVID (let's call it "P&C").
P&I Deaths 2017-2018 - ~70,000
P&C Deaths 2020 - ~90,000
Estimated Influenza Illnesses, Medical visits, Hospitalizations, and Deaths in the United States - 2017-2018 influenza season | CDC
Provisional Death Counts for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
So a brand new disease emerges, the US shuts down business/schools/travel/etc., bans large gatherings (except protests of course), requires masks to be worn in public, recommends social distancing, and so on.
After all that, we've managed to keep the death rate down to around a bad flu season year (keep in mind this is a brand new disease, no vaccines, no treatment protocol, etc.).
Then this documentary suggests President Trump is specifically responsible for all these deaths and should be held accountable for probably just repeating what he's told (because lets face it, he's not as smart as he thinks he is and just parrots what everyone around him tells him).
