Either 1) The original candidates were still protected or 2) MiB didn't see a reason to kill them. As they had no power over him. He just wanted to get off the island as fast as he could.

The only question I felt needed to be answered more prominently was faraday's mom. How did she have the ability to find the island again.

I don't get how this finale was hard to understand. Everything made sense, characters reacted how they would react, nothing was out of the ordinary in terms of character response.

Had Nothing to do with the 1st post. In Fact, I agree with whoever said the purgatory concept would have made a better ending (but it seems obvious that OP is wrong). I read the entire thread, and it is the only discussion I have read regarding this show. I read it to see if it was worth looking into now that it is over. It was enough to make me glad I never wasted my time with it.

I have formed my own opinion, people disagree, tough **** I am over it, its not worth worrying about anymore. I still believe the island was purgatory (you have to die to get there, and can never get off the island because you can't come back to life, if you do go off the island, its only as a ghost and its only short term).

A Character driven show wouldn't shroud its core with mystical bull**** like Lost did. They had grand dreams that got lost (lol) in all their own confusing ****, by the end they couldn't tie up all the loose ends to they took the copout way out and ended with a purgatory/afterlife storyline.

Let the nerds rage on that one. I stopped raging with my last post last night. "Wahh you're so stupid" etc.

That was me, and I am never wrong.

The 'purgatory' ending and fight/struggle between good and evil on this make believe island would have made it one of the best shows ever. However now it just looks like Season 2-5 never even had to happen and the entire show was only 2 seasons at most with the majority of **** that happened 2-5 not even mattering/filler.

It's amazing how many people post in a thread they don't care about, just to let people know that they don't care about the topic.
