Absolutely more than Trump. The foundation of liberal political ideologies is empathy and generosity. The foundation of conservative political ideologies is fear and greed. GOP politicians spread fear to win popular support so that they can obtain office and then use their power to enrich themselves. It's a simple con that works well if a large chunk of your population is uneducated, angry, and afraid. That's the quintessential Trump supporter: angry about their lot in life, afraid of minorities and change, and not smart enough to recognize when they are being manipulated.

some people measure human intelligence in terms of IQ.
it may surprise you to learn that as whole those who graduated high school have higher IQs than those that dropped out.
similarly those with undergraduate and graduate degrees generally have higher IQs than those with just a high school diploma.
if your voting base has more high school graduates than it does university graduates then your base is probably a great example of the people who think they are smarter than they actually are. or as you say - dunning-kruger.

the only reason the IQ thing is higher in ppl who go to high school and college is because they have proven that going to high school and college RAISES most peoples IQ since IQ is based on LEARNING APTITUDE.
you can take an IQ test every 5 years and have a lower or higher score every time and the results can vary greatly.

IQ is the biggest predictor of success. While education is very important, IQ is genetic.

For example. My son is only 18, and just graduated this year. He is 136. Which is low, compared to mine, but the fact remains. IQ is genetic.
