Shit, I missed the meat of this thread. Oh well, here's my take, not that any of you give a fuck what "my take" is. It's just dishonest, people had no clue they were donating for colosus' laptop. Money should have been kept in reserve in case tw needs another server, not to buy col a new toy.

Oh and although I can see how some people are upset about this, I guess one way you could look at it, is that we are just paying colosus for all the good work he does, and he gets a free laptop out of the deal (or nearly free). but whatever, I didn't donate, so I don't care either way.

I just want to clarify something here. The only thing I said about this was, "colosus really wants to tell you about his new laptop."

I said only that. No, it wasn't in good taste. For that I apologize. I was upset that my very valid concerns over the conflicts of interest that might come with tw/tw league/shoutcasting network/etc. and the overlap of management between them all was twisted around yesterday and that I was fired over posting my true concerns.

I didn't expect this thread today. I thought the whole thing regarding the laptop played out yesterday in irc without much drama. I'm sorry to see that Pixie was pulled into this thread.
 
I mean yea, sure, wofn is great and all, but the problem is people didn't have a clue they were donating to wofn. People certainly have a right to demand some of their cash back.

Completely agree. If he had said "We need 4k for servers and a laptop to cover live events" I would have been fine.
