it's p clear that the Senate will play nice and keep this thing as tame and neutral as possible

Obviously they won't remove Trump, but they're not gonna pursue "revenge" or subpeona congressmen....

Given that every impeachment has been purely motivated by partisan hackery, being the 3rd is rather meaningless. 20 years from now people won't even remember why it happened.
