it seem like tribe cyclical is startin 2 reach a 24 week high or some such, just more activity overall both on my forms and the sunday sperg base pus r packed etc

so it seem we should prolly try 2 do some lt pu and try 2 get it on a different night cus ppl r gettin tribed out w the sperg base pus and drop before we can even entertain a lt pu

but i know a bunch of u would participate in lt pu and i want to try and get some lt pu in cus i want 2 get real high and play 5v5 and prolly blow the game 4 my team like usual

also it seem like opsayo is coming back which is nice and he can play 2, and dare is more stable than ever and we can have some fun games over the next couple of weeks by tryin 2 get a solid group of ppl on at the same time

Can ppl play on thursday 2/12 @ 9EST?

the key to dare stability is a heavy dose of me playing. It allows dare to outlet and vent his inner demons in a safe and non destructive way.... also drugs n stuff

bugs has owned me now about 100 times with missiles through the fog when i do this and he is challenging my dominance so i am going to have to duel him and his rockets for a few days to see who is the real king


anyway i have no interest in puing as some of the pubs in the last few days have been 8-7 ot games and very close etc

I would do LT pu but I am basketball Thursday nights. Any other night works for me but I think munspankz is better player than I am now anyway so it not matter if I am there or not
 
I'm always down to LT pickup but I have some fears.

#1 pubs have been busy and we have lots of ggs like dare said.
I don't really want to hold back pubs and would rather have another server.
Of course since this is t1, ppl are really bad about showing up to another server and like to say really stupid things like "this server is laggy" even tho it is sitting right next to the community.

#2 is team balance. I want ggs not ppl team stacking and beating their chests.
For the better of the game we should mix up picks here and there or make sure one team isn't heavily stacked. Even if we have to prevent certain pairings against certain teams. Ppl have always been quick to point out that me + whoever is #1 chase shouldn't be on the same team. This is why I rarely ever got to play with snow when he was dominating. i think it's fine to pair us together, just make sure the other team has a much better offense than we do.

Let's make ggs not crying and quitting. We're all in our mid 20s and we love playing this game. How about rather than saying we play for fun we actually do play for fun and enjoy the game rather than acting like assholes because we lost 2 maps back to back in a pickup. I get tired of ppl spamming nonsense and calling people out rather than being glad they still get to play this game.

this is the exact same thing i think too except i can't say anything because then ppl just say some stupid comment about being insane while they panic and start a donation drive to mav's hamburger fund because their server is down for 24 hours

i dont think killing the game and playing vs extremely stacked teams at the same time is going to be remotely fun

this is also why i think its pathetic and somewhat funny that people who have been playing this vidya game for 18 years or whatever still are only one position wonders
 
like heres a big pub map from yesterday night i think it was stork me vs thumper izza rtcll as far as good pu level players go

the first few caps happen and im just messing around dueling people but once the team got into a flow we all really tried and it became a very close game for both sides

people had a lot of fun on the team stork and i were on and were making lots of comments in team chat about it im sure the same thing was happening on the other team as well

even if we had lost it still would have been a fun match and better than most of the pus ive played in in the last few years

whats lame is when its like 18 people total in the server and rtcll is determined to get the highest amount of cg kills or 8-0 the other team that has no chaser. map after map. or he chains people down to red health and then tries to disc because he doesnt want it to appear like hes c hain whoring. i get cging when its a close game vs another capable chaser like stork. but why shit on the game to the point where Natural is saying "wow why are you chaining so much"? which ive seen nat say directly to rtcll how is that fun and not just ego masturbation idk

that was a fun game and I had a really good time playing. when you get 16+ ppl in the server the game becomes something that it wasn't meant to be. it's total chaos but there is still a flow to it. it's kinda like a dota/lol game at that point only the reg pub players are the minions and the good pu players are the heroes.(not to sound like an elitist fag again) but I enjoy how much I can change the outcome of the game just by making tiny switches. like void was burning us on DX with the DS long E route, every grab he was taking back to the base. finally when the game got close to the end I started playing E side BE base and stopped him about 2/3rd of the time. they had to rely on their short route cappers which I was eating up.

I hit a difficult shot on void as he came in that pretty much summed up my play style in a single shot. -


I try to keep the chain on flag carriers only. But when you have guys camping flags and dj'ing up the mid or running cap or fail routes like ds long E on dx, those guys are asking to get chained. I don't chain when the #s are low unless jag has pissed me off. I think there is ego masturbation in disc only chase as well cuz every1 has to announce it in some way or another and at the end of the map it is like u should bow down and thank me for not using my cg holy shit look @ how awesome I am without chain etc.
 
ya i think there is ego in the disc only bullshit too but the point i was making was that pub stomping with cg to the point where natural asks why are you chaining so much to rtcll just shows it totally kills the game

nat never complains and he has played longer than any of us. i have never seen that guy say 1 complaint till then.

also i dont get y if a person has beaten a position like chase like rtcll has to the point hes getting 80 kills a map he doesnt pick up another position like learning to cap. who cares if you're bad the first week or whatever its an 18 year old game and you pick up these things quick. let someone else be the chaser allstar hero

you cant really ruin a pub with disc but you totally can when you're playing vs a bunch of casual/bad players and your cg is great. i do not get how pub stomping is fun in a dead game like tribes but i guess some people like it .



that was a pretty good stop. there were some good escorts in that game that got fluke caps too that i really liked. on our 8th cap scutum picked up the flag mid field which really sealed the deal + you getting the flag home fast. figgs also played really well there too,.

i dont even cg all the time, i mostly cg when you are in the server because you love to cry

i get most disc kills every game too but you dont seem to point that out

and i can play w/e pos

i cap all the time

but i guess that would be something u dont want to bitch about
