T1: Connection settings

I redjack about every 2 minutes when i play and it lasts for a bout 5 seconds, really screwing up ski-ing, sniping and just about anything.

I have a 1.5mb cable and ive been experimenting w/ T1 and above but i just cant get a good number that will stop this.

Is your ping low, or do you 996? Do you perhaps have pl?

my ping is reasonably low (around 50-80) so not amazingly low (like it should be) but i think its most likely PL i keep toying w/ settings but i dunno

If it's pl, keep lowering the settings until you have none.

after the storms 2 weeks ago, the same happens to me.

my problem is pl, and there is nothing i can do about it.

here is what i recommend (what i did): First, download the freeware version of pingplotter. Second, trace any tribes 1 server. Third, most likely you will notice a PL hit within your ISPs network.

For example: I bounce off 3 hops before i leave my isp. From hop 3 to 4, i get pl, which of course shows throughout the rest of the trace.

After confirmation, call your ISP.

it isnt PL and i never see 996 it just spikes REALLY high i might be 996ing cause i redjack but then it just drops back down to where it should be
