What about everyone else?
You just busted your ass to get from minimum wage to a job that pays you $21.00 an hour. FINALLY! The very next day, the government comes in an says, "the minimum someone can be paid is $15 an hour." By that single act, it destroyed all the other jobs where people worked their asses off to get to $21 an hour.
Why would a McDonalds employee want to advance to management if they are only getting $21 an hour when newbs are making $15? Longer hours, no overtime, unset shifts, work on holidays with no additional pay etc.

It's very simple samu. Everyone in America is getting robbed by the super wealthy, except for the super wealthy themselves.
As for the McD manager (not a real job according to people like you), that's simple too. 1) Mandate and enforce a 40/37.5h workweek 2) mandate and enforce overtime pay laws 3) mandate set hours at least two weeks in advance 4) mandate extra pay on weekends/holidays (f.ex: 150% on Saturdays and 200% on Sundays/holidays).
Solved!

No, no they do not. Instead, their hard work is now worth a lot less all thanks to the government coming in and messing with the economy.

this is an excellent reason to keep the minimum wage at $7.25/hr. thanks for clearing that up for me i was going nuts

hey severed you may have heard of this since your ****ing a spic..... the chieftains did a piece called: The Chieftains - San Patricio Irlanda y Mexico. i had it as a youtube favorite but it got copyrighted - preview on itunes maybe - here is something similar that outlines the main idea. the piece i had saved was only irish style music - the excerpt below may be part of an album.
The Saint Patrick's Battalion (Spanish: Batallón de San Patricio) was a unit of several hundred Irish, Germans, Swiss, Scots and other Roman Catholics of European descent, who deserted the U.S. Army and fought as part of the Mexican Army against the United States in the Mexican-American war

Bernie gave up any chance of being President when he *****ed out and gave up the microphone. His presidency would basically be him going "I want $15 minimum wage!", followed by a "Nah," and finishing with a "Ok thank you for trying."

we just got to ignore and overlook all the starvation, forced labor, repression, death toll, and the like; the USSR's monotonous, dreary, and ugly architecture......but besides that it was lit.

This is what the slime our left wing (Labor) government did last time they got in:
Quote:
A $900 bonus will be paid to taxpayers with taxable income up to and including $80,000.
A $600 bonus will be paid to taxpayers with income exceeding $80,000 to $90,000.
A $250 bonus will be paid to taxpayers with income exceeding $90,000 to and including $100,000.
|
If you earned over 100k fukya as you are unlikely to vote for Labor anyway. That's the whole point, lets give free stuff to our core voters.
Quote:
Four desalination plants built by former state Labor governments that have since been mothballed will cost taxpayers nearly $1 billion this year alone, with no plans for their use.
|
Quote:
Julia Gillard has been elected unopposed to the Labor leadership, seizing power in a bloodless Parliament House coup after Prime Minister Kevin Rudd decided not to contest this morning's leadership ballot.
|
Quote:
The roots of Julia Gillard***8217;s political career stretch back to 1982 when she moved from Adelaide to Melbourne to take a job as the education vice president of the Australian Union of Students (AUS).
It was an introduction to her generation of Labor politicians and unionists, including to Michael O***8217;Connor who was for a time her partner, is now national secretary of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union, and has been a lifelong friend.
She was AUS president in 1983 and later also worked part-time for the Socialist Forum, an organisation formed by former members of the communist party and Labor Party
|
CFMEU is the most militant union in the nation. Unions and Labor are peas in a pod.
The 'blue mountain' in this chart reflects their policy on immigration. The blue mountain was the giant spike in Refugee boats and planes flying people in. Labor couldn't stop it. They also like to support "The Greens" policies, so... borders were out of control in that period.
Consider the 'blue mountain' immigrant spike will essentially be competing directly with Labor's voting heartland.
Further left we have the Greens. They suck people in with "Save The Trees" and within years their inductees are preaching Marxism without realising it. By the time they realise the have become socialist and commies (when they look around at their next protest march), they have already been brainwashed that anyone except "far left" has a secret desire to start gassing millions of people, hates trees and especially hates whales.
Now we have right-wing in Government, and right-wing in my state. The result is a massive infrastructure boom occurring to help cope with the 'blue mountain'. They also 'stopped the boats', and are dealing with the 'blue mountain' backlog of people in detention centres waiting to be processed. Property boomed to bubble proportions up till last year, and now are going through correction.
Seeing the left come out with policy around 'feels and free stuff' is disappointing.
