Thanks Sam!

Looks like the Owen's vent would encourage wind shingle lifting, but I'm sure they've addressed that. I'm sticking with extra soffit vents for now, and plan on metal later.

Headed up now to build insulation baffles.

I drywalled a closet and a ceiling today! Keep us updated. Plas must be working harder than a cat trying to bury a turd on a linoleum floor.

Which reminds me. I need to get round to tape/mud the master bedroom.

EDIT: You all think this is enough mud for a 30'x30' bedroom?

You use the powder mud you mix with water for the joints. It's got a chemical reaction and has adhesive in it. It's for patching in bullet wounds. The pre mix is for topping. Mix it with water and you can roll it on the wall and use a wide knife for finish

I never knew it was called a soffit.

In Aus. they always just call that board the eave. Now I know, technically the entire structure is the eave and the under sheet is the soffit.

thanks TW

Wood is almost done, rain forecasted for this afternoon. I'll get it buttoned up in a few hours, but

On the positive side, I found a green towel.

Cutting it mighty close, Plaz.
Looking good. Would have been nice to have an extra couple of days to really clean that ****er out but whatever. Should be nice and dry moving forward.

It really is great that you allowed a good amount of rain to get in there before sealing it up.

That should rust through in no time so you'll feel right at home

These are the threads I love. Nice work and hope you got enough done to keep the water out.

I was kinda hoping you got up there with a shopvac and cleaned a lot of that crap out.
