Server(s) don't lag. The DB server does.

Blizzard just needs a better DB server engineer/admin or setup or something. Then again I know nothing about server engineering, so I am blowing this out my ass.
 
Specifically, it's the item and quest DBs that are "lagged". As much emphasis as this game places on loot drops, it has a devastating effect on gameplay.

sucks ass too :\ i found if you loot only one item from a corpse the lag can be avoided. Dont die though, cause it takes an assload of time to rez....
 
...Please also note that we have determined that the latency issues that have cropped up are unrelated to individual server populations. For the time being, latency while fighting and looting monsters can be expected on all servers, regardless of population. We are continuing to focus on resolving this issue as quickly as possible.
