Eastern Oaklahoma is Native American land -SCOTUS

At least now there is precedent for where natives are allowed to do their rapin'.

Vanster reportedly packing his bags as we speak.

Also, @ "Oaklahoma"

its just a shame that of all the states we could give them we chose oklahoma, the mississippi of texas

Interesting how neatly this decision went down partisan lines.

The liberals on one side, the conservatives on the other. With the exception of Gorsuch.

I can see why there is so much effort put into "getting more players on your team".

The decision doesn't mean that laws against rape are unenforceable in Oklahoma... but that only the Federal government is allowed to prosecute someone for child rape.

This is simple a matter of technicalities. Not of the moral implications of child rape and murder.

The problem is this technicality will overturn convictions, create a mess of the bureaucracy and an opportunity to exploit the legal system to give a murder another chance at avoiding the death penalty and a child rapist another shot at avoiding justice.

This is what happens when we allow ambiguity in the law to fester for decades because no one wants to take the time to make a actual decision for fear of repercussions. To argue that we should not establish a clear precedent for the law moving forward because it would create too much paperwork to fix what we've screwed up in the past... is dumb IMO. Suck it up. Make it right and move forward.

Gives us a chance to see a modern day True Grit take place. The Ned Pepper Gang is probably headed there right now in their RVs, Chargers, and 4 wheel drives.

“Today we are asked whether the land these treaties promised remains an Indian reservation for purposes of federal criminal law,” Gorsuch wrote.

“Because Congress has not said otherwise, we hold the government to its word,” he wrote.
seems pretty cut and dry to me
