Actually, a little research reveals that soliciting donations (regardless of non-profit status) under false pretenses is, in fact, illegal.

That being said though, that guy is being a major asshole.

I didn't say you were, I'm just saying if the money were used for things other than the site, then it would be an issue.

I also spent money that was donated specifically for going to UVALAN. What's your point? I make no pretenses that ALL the money goes towards the site in its technological form. Part of the "site" are the staff.

Exactly. every time i see someone in here from another site or like this momo, that comes into tw and tries to start beef...the first thing that comes to my mind is those new credit card commecials where 'the boys are back in town' is playing and barbarians are running through the streets on the way to some poor guys house with catapults and flaming torches.

As much as I agree that you are part of TW, being administrator and all, and so are the rest of the staff, I think you'd find it hard to convince anyone that when you say "Tribalwar" you are also including personnel. I think it's pretty clear that the implied meaning is server cost, possibly hosting cost (thankfully none), software upgrades, repairs, etc. etc.

Otherwise, it can also be said that Tribalwar includes members.

Where's my cut of the money? ;)
