Don't overlook LG, I was using a Huawei 6P and never thought I'd switch back from a Google phone but when the 6P died I tried the Pixel and it just didn't cut it for me. I scored an LG G6 Black Friday '17 for $120 and it's been a beast. Rock solid phone with great battery life. Try out whatever their flagship is these days before you settle for Samsung or Google.

Firstly I suggest the oneplus 6t as the best android option.
Of these choices the s9 is the best phone.

Just got the pixel 3.
Best phone I've ever owned hands down.
The small phone size was the main advantage over the p20 pro. Also huawei doesn't wireless charge and I'm not ready to give that feature up yet.

GTFO son you dun goofed!
shoulda bought the 6T
Soooo good
With that said the next company to come out with a bezel-less phone with a smaller screen is getting my money. I'm ready to go small. But zero bezel is a must.

Me wife and one kid have Pixels - been a good solid phone
We've owned a lot of Samsung phones and they die somewhere between 6 months and a year. Really have no time for them anymore with the other choices out there.

thx friends, i too would have preferred a 6t but my provider is offering me an xtra discount off those 3 phones for whatever reason bringing them down to 0 dollar, so between a 0 dollar s9 and a 700 dollar 6t it's not really a choice
but personally i've had bad experience with samsung products so im a little wary of the s9
(samsung tv needed repair twice within the first year and my last samsung phone shipped with a bad charger which they refused to replace because 'warranty only covers the handset, not the battery or charger')
s9 seems to have the most recommendations, and it is a nice phone... ugh this is not an ez choice

also idc about wireless charging, ive had it forever and almost never use it cause wired charging is faster and seems to generate less heat

Sammy phones have got better. they can still be quirky but at the same time, they are the biggest sellers so fixes and solutions also come easier.
there is no perfect phone.
