I don't support anybody because the system is broken. There is not a single viable candidate The American government is in shambles and is a mere parody of what it was intended to be. It cannot and will not ever be fixed. Like all Republics, it will eventually collapse from internal pressures.

I generally agree with kura's opinion, but I also think that eventually you have to take the pragmatic approach, vote for the less dangerous of the two, and deal with the world as it is. the current system is built around suppressing the vote, so not voting or voting for a third party is exactly what they'd like you to do.

The one difference between you and me though is that I'll still vote for the person I see as less likely to do harm in the short term.
In the long term, we are fucked, because people are stupid and selfish. That's fair. Once you acknowledge this though, what's the harm in trying to prolong the tenuous stability of this country? You'd rather see anarchy than even some semblance of order? If we're going to crash and burn, I'd rather it not be in my lifetime.
I still contend that in the last election, Kerry was the only sensible vote. Sure he was a piece of shit machine man (just like Obama and McCain) but Bush is and was a clear disaster. I can never understand why anyone would vote for him or lend passive support to him by not voting for the only other viable candidate (or not vote at all).
