Did you download the scripts I linked to? If so, you are doing something wrong I think. Go to the scripts tab and look at failed loads - post the reasons.

FYI on placing files:
If you have a .vl2 (a .zip archive) you can place it anywhere in GameData\base\

Typically people place maps in \base\missions\
Skins in \base\skins\
etc...

Things (.vl2 files) that get placed in base are always loaded.

If you have placed these files in \GameData\Classic
you have to use the -mod classic switch when starting the game.

I once TKed 2 invs, a gen, and 2 teammates in one shot and they still let me play. :shrug:
(that's like negative infinity points)
 
hum, the whole computer freezes if I alt+tab and the taskbar stays over the game for some reason...

never had this back in the old days, maybe is has something to do with this machine being dual-core or something.

any ideas?
 
I assume you're on Vista - you can run in windowed mode to fix it.

Also, most people on dual-core use only one core.

Something along these lines for your batch file:
CD C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\
start /affinity 1 /abovenormal Tribes2.exe -online

didn't do anything.

and I'm on XP.

got it working on windowed mode. guess I'll have to play it that way, it's not as bad as I though it would be.

now I just need to get used to it again.
