hudbot messing with my terrain?

im not sure if its hudbot or animated skies, but i downloaded and played severed's pack straight from the rar. usually about 5 minutes into a map the terrain starts showing its "lines," and it gets worse and worse until nearly 60% of the visible terrain is covered in a grid

anyone know whats causing this? i'm playing in 1024x768 (or whatever severed says it should be played in)
 
what hudbot do you use?
and furthermore, let hudbot complete loading before you do anything in tribes, like joining or even selecting a player. Afaik those weird terrain bugs went up in dust with 0.420
