but how in the fuck do you make over 9 grand a month and only have 5 grand in the bank?
 
I don't leave all my money in checking. I am not an asshole.

I leave cash that isn't tagged for anything in there. The rest gets put away, moved around or invested each month on payday
 
What is clear is everyone jumping on that balance has no clue how to handle large amounts of cash.

You didn't even consider me paying my bills first, and smartly handling my cash. Savings, 401k, investing are bills. If you don't treat them as such you are going to be fucked.

401k at 22. 15% religiously. Company match to 8%. 3 major companies I have worked for when I left I was fully vested. Set investment strategy to match my age so as I got older my risk was less. Took a hit in the crash but fully recovered.

Covered my risky work with LTD insurance. I maintain 60% of my salary.

yeh i move money out of checking when its like 1k over after bill paid.. i never leave alot of money in checking. Might as well make SOIMETHING off it elsewhere.

Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, suggested in a CNN interview on Thursday that Democrats have been so focused on the investigation into Russia's election meddling that they have been ignoring conversations about gun control.

Conway accused Democrats including Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of only speaking out about gun control when politically convenient – including after mass shootings.
