The article, if true, made it sound like the end of GoT was what sent him into his depression. Like I said, I assumed it was deeper seated stuff at play, as I doubt he's quite that shallow or fragile.
I'm a critical care doctor, dude. Every day I see people with real problems: polytrauma, metastatic cancer, dead or dying family, etc. Forgive me if I have a hard time finding much compassion for a rich actor with a drinking problem and emotional diarrhea.
I do hope he finds a better head space, though. Mental illness is terrible, undertreated, and underappreciated. You may remember 7 years ago when I made a thread about my father jumping in front of a train. I have more than a little experience.
Maybe I'm being crass, a bit callous. Oh well.
*edit* I liked this thread better when we were all just railing on season 8
