The malecon is this nice flat wide sidewalk. Great for me and the Carver skateboard that I can pump and get speed without touching down my foot.

I asked my wife and she said they have them here in restaurants. I'll try them. Maybe I'll look on the internet on how to cook them? Is this one of those things I could kill myself eating?

I've never had any long term effects by getting stuck, but I've never landed hard on one

you just cut them open and put those swollen gonads.......nads right in your mouth hole and swallow. No cooking required

I am currently unaware of any species not being edible and amazing

they can be put in pasta sauce.......in sauces.....etc

but raw and fresh is best cause they are such a delicacy

though I do hear that there are poisonous varieties (in regards to stings not eating) so I'd look into exactly what kind and species you got first.

or post me a picture and trust my bad opinion (which might be good.....i stayed at a holiday inn one time)

though if the water is bad in that area, sewage treatment plant, etc, then I would harvest them from another area

I have to do the same with muscles and goose neck barnacles

which are another sea variety nobody eats on the west coast

but go for like 40-60 euros a pound over in Europe

in italy they do small squirt of lemon over top of it first (not needed)

I'll study above and give 'em a try at some point... let you know. My wife said she ate them raw (this is from the woman who gave me a raw eye from a fish she was cooking for us a few months after going out with me... she couldn't shake me.)

I'm not a big raw person, but I'm getting better. oyster, mussels, ceviches...

it has a strange velvety texture but you can learn to love it (if one desires)

if you can do a raw oyster these are no problem

Was that at Pampas? I think it's spelled that way. Holly smoke (edit type of wood they use to smoke ya...) that place just keeps bringing the awesome meat until you beg them no more.

I went to the one in downtown, but they just built one 10 min. drive away from us in Otay. I can only eat that much once a month...
If you go during the right day/time you can get in for ?? less, going to look into that next time we're there.

I've been negligent on posts and pics. Have a ton of carnival pics with beautiful floats. Just had a truck group come by, but only got to see the parade and didn't take pics, vgs. Amazing stereo systems that blasted right up to the 14th floor. Motorcycle week is beginning, but Corona virus is being talked about more. Mexican News/Gov is saying they expect to see a lot more cases around the 20th... so people may not be out to party much? My wife seems to think it's pretty light this year.
