uh, there are only 19 registrants so far.... of which most are mitsu's "staff" for the website, php writer, network admin, etc. so i'm going to guess only 5 people paid so far.

I'm being nice, terra. but there are 90 registered whether or not they are paid. http://mitsulan.com/events/

lets break it down a bit more for mitsu. red 1's = seats taken. white 1's = seats empty.

How far up your ass is your head dooooooood? We already did that. Mitsu is a guy who has NO experience putting on a LAN and wanted to start off his illustrious career with a bang. I advised him to start small and even convinced him not to try to do a west coast lan the SAME weekend as Tribalwars (AKA TW:W). He took my advice but persists in his misconcieved notion that he can fill an arena with Tribes 1 players. I don't know of any other forums he frequents or where he might be attempting to draw 4900 players from.....and I wish I did know.....but his aspirations are just plain beyond reality to me.

The other thing that I worry about is that if he is actually serious and fails as badly as I suppose he will, potential sponsors will once again see that funding LAN Parties is a foolish business decision. Thus he puts those of us who have ventured into this activity in a very bad light. Having a history in LANning is the only saving grace.

Cheater has a good point, not only is this a little beyond reality, there is a chance to hurt the LAN community overall sponser wise. :(

You're operating under the assumption that he actually received any sponsorship and didn't just put up the logo's of a number of prominant companies on the sponsorship page.

Maybe i'm a pessimist.

thats not pessimism.

him being full of shit would be a good thing for the LAN community in that sponsors wouldnt feel burned.
