given that, and what we know of AJ, there really is no controversy unless you're a butthurt conspiracy theorist mongoloid

I don't want to give big business a pass either, but I just apply Occam's razor and assume everything they do is about their bottom line, because that's always correct ;)

the notable/newsworthy thing isn't that he was taken off YouTube etc, it's that it took so long to happen and that there are actually people here stupid enough to claim that freedom of speech is being threatened :lol:

Like I just said, I agree with you that he's a con-man. I too don't care if people like him are removed. I also agree with you that there are con-men just like him on the left. So get rid of them all, if the goal is to get rid of such people.

youtube isnt the only site on the internet that can host video. market share != monopoly. for like $5 a month anyone can host their own site and videos and distribute them. the barrier of entry to the webhosting game is crazy low.

i get calling cable co's and the like 'monopolies' (even tho most of them are usually duopolies or oligopolies) because it would take hundreds of millions to get into the last-mile ISP game but we're talking about stuff (text/video) that can probably be hosted on a raspberry pi for less than what most people spend on coffee in a week

but even that's a very loose usage of the word monopoly and is pretty inaccurate and misleading, designed to evoke an emotional reaction because 'oligopoly' doesn't send people into a panic the way 'monopoly' does

just because porntube.com is popular, doesn't mean they're the only webserver on the internet that can host skin flicks either.
