Sadly, the joy and enthusiasm for a Steam Sale is greatly diminished when there is nothing being published that you want to buy.

It's not so much a "Steam Sale" problem as it is a problem with the generally poor state of gaming as a whole.

That's why the appeal of sales is to buy top quality games from 5-10 years ago for $5-$10. Not to shave $10 off a $60 game that came out in the past year.

Unless you already own those games... you bought them a long time ago.

Vermintide 2 for $8 is a good deal!... unless you already own it.

Want to play Metal Gear Solid V for $15? ... again?!

The complete Witcher 3 GOTY and all add-ons, $20...

How about Saints Row IV... for the 12th time its been on sale, or the Borderlands 2 collection...

And since VALVe broke Steam Gifting... I can't even buy extra copies so I can finally play some of these games with other people anymore.

Yes it is.

And the reason for the deal is they are blowing out the last of their inventory because they are not going to make them any more.... so now is the time to buy one if ever you were considering it.

I do like mine as an all-round controller for playing many different types of games.

Not at home so can't check but if you like total war games and warhammer pops up it is worth it. Although 2 is stand alone there is a grand map where you can play factions from 1 or 2 to conquer the world.

I loved TW: Rome back in the day. I should reinstall it, bet it still holds up.

I was going to grab a few things like Ultimate Fishing etc but then thought I'll never play them anyway so decided not to.

I also need to revisit Witcher III and finish it off

not yet. I only buy like 1-2 games a year now. I played the heck out of TW: Rome way back and even though I have a ton of hours on TW:War I feel like I've barely scratched the surface due to how many factions there are + mods.
