I took a drive to denver and collected all those parts yesterday. 10 hour drive there and back. I went ahead and threw the brush guard on, because why not. Gives the explorer an entirely different look.

Now it looks way badass


I should have the headliner done tomorrow so I can start putting the interior back together.

Why put everything on before paint? imanewbie but I just had a vw van painted and i was a bit (not for the nickle i paid) disappointed that they 'worked' around stuff..

I'm drilling a lot of holes. Like a lot. I want to line everything up, drill, and have it all properly fitted before paint. I'm gonna take it all off before I drop it off

Goshin was right. Let me guess - you don't make and mix the paint yourself too, right? I bet you pay someone else (that keeps them employed and potentially pays for their health insurance) to first make the paint, and then mix the paint colors for you?

I sort beach sand and make my own different grades.

I spent a few hours yesterday making some brackets out of 1/8 aluminum I had leftover from the proton packs. Wanted to get these brush guard lights on so I could stand back and stare at my vehicle some more.
