[INFO] Block the ads in Curse Client

Curse Client uses the Internet Options from IE for retrieving and displaying the ads. You don't need any HOSTS file entries to block the ads, just add:

To the list of Restricted Sites. Doing so won't impact the ability to get the list of addons or update them, but it will prevent

http://curseclient.curse.com/client-mpu-v4.html
from being downloaded and all the ad server scripts from being executed.
 
I don't mind the adds, the annoying thing is not being able to update everything at once.

I got a hacked client once that was 'premium' but it stopped working once they updated the client.

Yeah, does anyone have the new hacked client?
 
He's probably confused. While Curse Client v4 was in alpha/beta it gave you free premium if you were using it (presumably so they could get more people testing those features).

That said the addon settings sync would probably be worth the price if I played on more than one computer.
