Free healthcare, free prescriptions, EBT food card, WIC food card, free school lunches, free eye checkups (have to pay for glasses tho wtf?), discounted internet ($15/month), etc. The benefits just keep rolling in, random government deposits into my bank account amounting to $15k over the past year it's a pretty sweet living. Sleeping in til 9 every day etc. You guys should really try it out.

I get so much free fruit I started making wine with it. Essentially just free booze minus the inconvenience of waiting a month to drink it but free is free :shrug:

If the companies are stealing "profits" from employees (employees dont necessarily get profits, they get paychecks) and they aren't saying anything about it, its because they are illegals. Do you know how you can keep your pay from being stolen with the ability to report your employer? Be a legal worker.

Farms of all sizes get subsidized for many reasons. Through much of the 70's and part of the 80's my gramps got juicy subsidies to grow or not grow certain crops, sometimes at the same time.

Farming in general is about the only business where you work your ass off in the hopes to break even, MAYBE make a little profit. And just because you want to be a farmer doesn't mean you can be a farmer. If small mom and pops get gobbled up by corporations....that still make food for everyone....well thats the law of the jungle in the business world.

Said corporations? Check out Bill Gates. I think the fucker is the single largest private landowner in the US and most of it was/is farmland.
