So I watched a couple of videos about how robots and AI automation are going to take everyone's job and the solution to this problem is always the same.

teach the soon to be unemployed how to code.

millions of people are going to get paid a living wage writing "hello world" programs?

No...it is an example. Coders, engineers, assemblers, etc. Those will be the jobs that move with the new tech that replaces old 'menial labor'. There are probably dozens of jobs that are attached to the idea of 'ai taking over jobs' that will have to be filled and likely could be filled by the same people that just had their jobs taken away

People completely misunderstand where we're going under Trump. We are short 50-100 million white people thx to abortion. Automation will fill the gap as we move to new and greater technologies
 
We are in for a paradigm shift of technology. The automation of today will seem like childs play. 100 years ago you couldn't have had a DOW worth 20,000 points without basic assembly plant manufacturing, well we've been stuck for 50 years. We haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg for materials science. If we understood the true properties of glass our uninhabitable cities would be transport hubs to planetoids built of titanium.

i keep seeing journalist majors over at CNN, VOX, etc, who are getting laid off by the "fake news" paradox getting so mad when we tell them to they better learn to code on twitter

that they better learn to improve those job skills in this competitive environment.....

a few of them wrote the same thing about coal workers, oil rig people, and boy is it fun to see how they respond to this

most get real mad and rage pretty hard

the rest know they can't code and do anything useful other than post opinions nobody can relate to or bother to read at all

i do wonder how many billions of programmers the world really needs though

if that too isn't being saturation soon

we have like an inverse industrial evolution going on right now globally, more mouths to feed than productive work to do, instead of vice a versa, and we keep being told that more mouths to feed is the answer somehow to something

Boomers refuse to retire and relent the earner/control positions.

Facebook, Google, and Amazon are stealing and patenting everything anyone puts up, or searches for, on the web.

Most people who are breaking into any major field are paying randos to continue to take a course a semester in order to never pay their student loans. This makes the student debt situation untenable.

Upper and middle management opportunities are being decimated by innovations that automate positions that previously needed oversight.

Competition for every other position increases as each field shutters due to said "innovation."

Classical capitalistic "free markets" do not exist when even "big box" stores cannot compete with "online" giants that maintain "first mover" or "brand win" government subsidies or cognitive fallacies that depend on mnemonic associations.

Barrier to entry into any skilled labor self employment is minimally licensing, insurance, and competitive rates against in-place contractors and/or unions armed with credit, equipment requiring thousands of dollars of investment, and experience.

Americans refuse to pay for quality labor and products that last a lifetime. Instead opting for Ikea furniture and gimmick products that require constant upkeep such as video games and cellphone contracts.

Feminism has ruined women, making a good companion (let alone wife) incredibly hard to find, and harder still to satisfy as demand for such an individual increases.

A growing portion of the citizenry is demonstrably dependent and enjoying a quality of life disparate to their contribution. Any effort by the individual labouring supports them to a greater degree, and harms the individual contributing, why bother
