This may be OFN, but I think I have found a bug when using vent and wow with the new patch. If you launch wow and log in and THEN launch vent your quality sounds crappy. However if you launch vent before you launch wow its fine. Ive tested it and it seems to be true. So if people complain about your vent quality you just fix it by closing wow and vent and reloading, in the correct order.

Because unless in-game chat is VASTLY more involved than I anticipate, Vent/TS2 still allow you vastly more control over who you can exclude from where.
For pug Heroics and such I'm sure in-game voice chat is fine, but if you're a raiding guild and you have to have officer pow-wows or kick/ban a bunch of Vent-flooding morons (external or otherwise), you want to stick with something where you have control.

why would you use vent with voice chat in-game now?

Mainly because I don't pug. If im playing im usually in vent with other people from the guild just shootin the shit.

It blows complete ass. Horrible sound quality. No control over volume levels of individual people. Everyone sounds like some horrible robot from a 1950's movie.
