[Addons] Saving Addon Data

Is there one specific file I can save to save all this or is it a bunch? I was deleting old addons one day last week and ones completely independent of Telo's LootLink and BAM! my whole LootLink saved data is gone. I know there's savedvariables.lua or some such file most say it where Gatherer points are collected but is there a concrete way to backup/reinstate addon saved data between installs?

I don't know if that's fool-proof. I mean when I cleaned out some addons I not only didn't touch LootLink at all or any addons associated with it and I didn't touch the WTF folder and yet my LootLink database still got wiped somehow.
