Then Goolsbee pulled out and Brad DeLong was put in his place

Kevin Hassett was the co-author of Dow 36000 in 1999 when he predicted that the Dow Jones would hit 36000 within 5 years and that the fundamentals suggested it could be there overnight. He's a senior fellow at the AEI.

J. Bradford DeLong is a professor of economics at the University of California at Berkeley, chair of its political economy major, a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and was in the Clinton administration a deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury.


Hassett then pulled out in part because DeLong would have torn him apart likely in part due to his book.
