I was at Guapos today and I had a choice between steak tacos with corn shell, or flour tortilla. The choice was easy, the flour toritilla. Sure its not crispy, but it doesn't break apart as soon as you bite into it.

Flour... but actually I like both in the "double-stack" configuration wherein the crunchy corn shell is wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with a layer of nacho cheese glue between them.

Crispy corn flour tortillas
Soft corn flour tortillas
Crispy wheat flour tortillas
Soft wheat flour tortillas

Then you have white/whole wheat flours, mixes of flours etc
White and yellow corn flours etc


For a "Corn" tortilla - use corn flour.
For a "Wheat" one use wheat flour.
Or - mix that **** and go commando
For "crispy" - fry or press that ****.

flour is obviously the accepted short for wheat flour

especially because the corn 'flour' for corn tortillas has to be nixtimalized

if you ask for a wheat flour tortilla in spanish you ask for tortilla de harina
