[T1] The Link Thread

Well Nofix, I was trying to explain that the term terp is just wrong in the context and people should forget about it. There are of course working BypassES out but still: interpolate is not the reason for people crying terp. There is worse stuff going around (which is probably old news to you). Anyway I think my first post was misleading and we shouldnt start another stupid discussion.. peace

Yeah, and you would be right because a bypass is a bypass, and a cheat is a cheat.

the sequence of events that lead to the kicking of a notorious cheater:

- identify smurf. clamsoda hasn't played in years, how'd his chain get so good without playing in years?

- notice smurf is intentionally chasing me, chaining me, and ripping me up with less than 6 bullets.

- notify players we are being cheated.

- ask bugs to do smurf check on douchebag.

- laugh in delight as shields are drawn, and DiSK is called out, and kicked.

[T1] Commander screen zoom level

I've noticed since i've been using the wsfix and running at my native resolution (1920x1200), after starting up Tribes the commander screen is zoomed in all the way so that I cannot see all of the map. I have to click the zoom button, right click on the map and then click the zoom button again to see it all. Is there a preference in Tribes that sets the default commander zoom level? Looking in clientprefs.cs I can only see $pref::CommanderZoomTime, which is not it. If not, is there a script available to achieve this? I would like to not have to do this every time I play, if possible.

i actually have this too

i imagine its because when you use a widescreen resolution the command screen tries to fit the command map to the width of the square, but it ends up cutting off the bottom

it is sad that ppl still cheat

when is the new cheat patch coming out

i got 44 kills and 25 cks today as an lo in a pu and i am legit, i do not want to be grouped in with the vermin

bugs, where is THE FEAR?

Well Ive never noticed it.

I'll look into it and fix that, I need to think about a good solution so I dont have to modify more of the tribes memory (bugs' life is already hard )

Anyways, you can modify the cmdMap size/position with this code:

Code:
Control::setExtent("TS_140201", 256, 256);
Control::setPosition("TS_140201", 0, 0);

the problem is tribes modifies the controls info after datafinished/connection accept, so schedule it onDatafinished with 2-3 seconds delay. Although this is really ghetto and Id rather wait for my update on wsfix

Feel free since I'm out of business now on this stuff. It makes no sense to work on
it if 1.40 is truely coming. All my work has been suspended since March.

Anyway I think you should release an integrated wsfix tribes.exe that does not load
a dll. That way if we are forced to kick for wsfix we can give people a download to
get back in the air.

bugs, where is THE FEAR?

THE FEAR has been overcome by THE EVENT.

I suspended my work since March on account of 1.40 coming.

Waiting....

It does look there are are two (perhaps three) new things out there. The renewed
interest from the 1.40 announcement maybe brought someone out of retirement,
or maybe there have been leaks of internal information.

Since mid May we've seen roughly a 40% decline in average player count - people
drop because of the frustration. More pickups are failing etc. If I thought that
new hacks wouldn't immediately be released I would try to do something
because it is killing off tribes again.

Tribes is dead.
