Hotel Industry Groups Sue Los Angeles Over Minimum Wage

In Long Beach CA a similar initiative was on the ballot which required hotels with more than 100 rooms to pay a $13 minimum wage and sick leave. Two Hyatt hotels caved and were unionized. However, some hotels closed rooms to have only 99 available for rent and laid off workers. The remaining workers were paid $13 an hour but had their hours cut.

Which source would you like exactly?

A syndicated news source like Forbes?

Maybe one that provides facts rather than supposition presented as fact? You know, like actual educated people would look for, rather than falling for faux news-like bullshit?

wooo more supposition, I'm convinced.

So I googled this and I found a few other sites quoting the "BLS" but with no link to the BLS report. I wonder why? Because it doesn't fucking exist. What does exist is a preliminary report regarding the changes and it does not come anywhere close to saying what those articles are. No wonder they didn't link to it.

Try again, maybe with less foaming this time?

btw there's already some cities here where the minimum wage was pushed to $14-15 dollars and guess wat the sky didnt fall

these small business restaurants pushed up prices by 10% to cover the costs and the patrons didnt care

they didnt care because pricing was the same in more expensive surrounding areas, plus they appreciated the fact that these places were paying livable wages

fuk man they made it work and the world didnt end. whodda thunk it??
Respect is earned you pussy. Fuck you.

oh no the forums most ignored and hated poster just put me down

how am i ever gonna save face

go back to talking shit to your crack addict father

at least there you had some weight

Do you?

I say, NO - It's too much money for a minimum wage level job. People who already have little motivation to work won't work to move up. If they can just keep their minimum wage job and smoke weed everyday and keep going will just keep doing that. I think it's a bad idea.

this poll is retarded. no, I don't support a $15/hr minimum wage because you're right that is too high. if you start talking $10/hr minimum wage, that sounds a bit more reasonable.

i'm thinking you may have posted this poll in response to legislation introduced in a certain state, or something i'm not aware of. maybe that's why you've chosen $15/hr as the proposed minimum wage. since I don't have other options to choose in this poll, i'll vote yes to show support for raising the minimum wage in general. however I agree 15 is a little much
