i know this prob shoudlnt have been a new thread, but im drunk, so thats my excuse.

who cares if we just started sending out rf 80yrs ago. we got tech that can easily detect non naturally occurring rf patterns that could have originated millions of years ago, and have found NOTHING!

so that means that either we are alone, or THEY have some sort of com system that dont use radio signals.

i actually prefer to believe in the latter, and based on our very early understanding of that whole paired sub atomic particles based on some quantum entanglement theory could possibly be used for future faster than light communication, i still think theres still a chance there's someone out there.

but based on the fact that we aint heard jack **** from rf, i vote we scrap that **** all together, eventho that'd put me outta a job, 'n concentrate on developing com tech based on that crazy quantum physics ****. for one, it'd really improve in-game ping times.

RF dissipates over distance. Also whatever RF that has been sent out will take the same time to come back if it has reached any beings. IMO we should just ditch RF as a way to detect life. Universe is far too large to expect anything from RF.

are you retard? guess so. ill repeat again.

WHO THE **** CARES IF THEY RECIEVED ANYTHING FROM US. IT DONT ****ING MATTER HOW ****ING LONG IT TAKES FOR OUR **** TO REACH THEM.

the only thing that matters, is the fact that we've developed rf receivers capable of detecting rf waves generated back to the big bang. so unless the green guys got shot off in the other direction from day one, we should have heard something by now.

The question is, how far can an RF signal travel at the power levels that we broadcast before it is no longer discernible from background noise?

To answer the OP, I absolutely do not believe that we are alone.

It's a conspiracy, we're actually in a slow-time envelope as the rest of the universe thinks we're too hazardous to their health.

If they tried to use RF and sent a signal 34 years ago but live 35 light years away, we wouldn't have gotten it yet. Not to mention I don't believe we are scanning around the whole planet 100% of the time while our solar system is moving relative to the rest of our galaxy let alone the universe.
