mother f[_]Cker!!! still no progress. I was up till past midnight messing with this and still nothing but a black screen. One article I read said go buy a ps/2 keyboard since USB keyboards may not work till after the computer boots. That is the last idea I have unless I take it to a computer repair shop to get raped.

Use your jumper and move it over a prong to do a hardware reset of your BIOS

This is exactly where it is located on your motherboard

Quote:
Remove the side panel, locate and remove the CMOS battery. Locate the BIOS configuration jumper for your motherboard (often very close to the battery, refer to your manual for additional information) and move the jumper from pins 1 & 2 to pins 2 & 3. After ~5-10 seconds, move the jumper back to the original pins.
If you need an example of what the jumper might look like you can watch this video and many others like it.

It may look something like this, with a small plastic piece over 2 of the 3 prongs

Why are you guys so obsessed with the BIOS lol.

First, try another video source if possible (DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.). If you have an integrated GPU then pull out your dedicated GPU and give the integrated a try. Also make sure your display is actually working (and the cables are connected properly behind it).

If that doesn't do anything, then remove all HDDs/SDDs. If you're not even seeing BIOS it's time to start removing any unnecessary components.

If it's still not working try pulling ram sticks one stick at a time. Make sure to take a picture as they need to go back into the exact same slots they came from (unless you're already using every slot possible).

If it's still not working it's down to the PSU, CPU, and MB. The PSU you can test with a special tester. The CPU and MB you have no easy way to test.

Thanks, HumDumpin: I called my work IT and he suggested the same thing. I reset the jumper to 2/3 waiting 10 secs then back to 1/2 ....still no love.

Should I a.) buy ps/2 keyboard b.) buy cheap video card

AFAIK Microsoft only updates the BIOS on its own products. Why the hell would they update a BIOS on some other brand they do not produce, sell or support? Recipe for disaster.
