I turn TC/stability off because it changes the cards attitude (especially under throttle/turning) and really mellows it out too much. I was suffering playing the first race in automatic with the assists
There are some times when hanging the ass end out and throwing it into a corner will get you somewhere faster, like through chicanes. The traction control won't let the car maintain it's attitude and speed through there by making you take a straighter and more controlled line than you'd like to.
I leave it in manual because if you're coming in too hot to a corner the computer won't downshift the right way, so I'd rather do that myself...just more control over the car.

Also, the AI is ****ing great. Wish you could set the NASCAR up for ovals better by adjusting the caster/camber for individual wheel, but oh well...it's not a NASCAR game. This one is lightyears ahead of the last one
