I was banned last night from Discord for questioning why policies have been implemented to destroy the growth of the community and game.

I got about ten seconds of voiced concern in before I was banned.

i just wanted to comment on the importance of pubbing in a dead game


if you don't ffa like community service the game dies quicker

and people saw this happen in quake and tribes mods already and its gonna happen in LT t1 too


when you have a small group basically shutting down the game or robbing it of growth by killing pubs for pu spam you end up shooting urself in the foot

sure ur gonna get good games once in a while but weird stuff like relying on a bot instead of human judgement (lol) will scare off the already small player pool - like returning great players that want to stack a team for a night and then quit for a year or watever get stuck on a bot with a ranking they probably dont want to be associated with - or the games will get a core group of players that all bonds and is friends but it's at the expense of everyone else

in shifter first the noobies stopped coming and the snipers stopped sniping, and pubs died while competition stuck around but on a much smaller scale, then competition slowly dwindled to this low numbers 1v1 ctf stage and we'd do reunions and stuff but no one pubbed so people wouldn't stick around to get nuked by the people that weren't rusty

this is why when i made the discord i banned pu's and said do them on another discord or so late at night in the channel that wasn't talked in like #general was or during the day so that the pub kept going - and it was like that for the two years i had the discord

and we'd use that !shazbot command as much as possible to advertise the pub instead of whatever is going on with the pus

but i also had all the returning ppl from the midair hype and they wanted to pub

the game is old too ya know

but doing a pub night once or more per week where pus are banned and everyone has to pub would probably bring out more old faces than you know

also altimor's aimlag fix wtf that shit is basic

i can't get behind balanced mode and bot pus and i feel my tribes is laggy and im bad and enjoy pubbing as a casual so this post wasn't about me but about shit multiple people have pm'd me or mentioned to me for whatever reason also you all banned mun 2:37 me and alienated most of the arena crowd by condescending them so theres my 2 cents :angel:

thats fine at least the people commenting on me know whats up now

i always had a problem with the pus anyway for the last decade around since when chump and korn left and they took a dramatic drop in quality so thats cleared up now
 
this is heading toward civil war and strife between pub community vs pu community i suggest u all find ur allies and prepare yourselves
 
reminds me of that king of kong movie but with bath hawks and a bunch of people that care less




in the end it turns out they all cheat or whatever

its kind of like people getting private hacked tribe clients that get 600 packet size and 50 packet rate (basically autoaim)
