I just got back into the game and have started going to MC. I need some fire resist gear, any of you rogues have a list of your fire resist items and where you obtained them? Thanks.
 
Ocean's Breeze from the MC quest
Flamescarred Shoulders from DM West
Bloodfang Pants + 20 FR libram ;)
Nightslayer Cover + 20 FR libram ;)
NS gloves
NS belt
Onyxia Scale Cloak + 7FR enchant
Onyxia Pendant
Rogue Trinket from DM book quest

as a rogue you're never going to need over 151 IMO so don't overdo it. Using tier pieces with FR librams is your best bet to keep the dmg high with the resists. NEVER use green FR shit or green FR rings, it's WORTHLESS. Also, if you can avoid it, don't use crafted FR stuff like lava belt and corehound boots. The epic leather shuolders that drop in MC are good but i never used them. Keep in mind I never go over ~154 FR in any fight and I've done every fight up to nefarian.
 
only need FR for rag, if you have a decent heal team even pain packs are doable without a lot of FR. but I use darkdonuts layout almost exactly (volcanic pants if you dont have bloodfang there is literally nothing else for us in pants department)

What you said about equiping the green FR rings makes sense, I always hate equiping it because of the loss of stats. :/
 
I have 200 (exactly) unbuffed without Librams. That said, I usually wear slightly less, because any fight where FR *really* matters (Vael, Firemaw, Flamegor, Rag) we spend 5 min to grab the BRS buff, so I can drop a bunch and still hit 300+
 
The three big pieces I put on are:

Molten Helm 29 FR +20 FR Libram = 49 FR
Corehound Boots 24 FR
Fireguard Shoulders 22 FR

I also put a 20 FR libram on like some stormshroud pants back in the day when the FR librams were cheap and I didn't have any epics to put them on.

Then a +15 FR ring alongside the oceans breeze.

I'll probably put another FR libram on my NS pants and get a ZG enchant on BF pants when I pick them up
 
I'm not a big believer that fire resist makes or breaks your survival in any instance, but if you really want a goal shoot for 200. You'll resist about 2/3 the time without sacrificing too much stats. Grab a full volcanic set, then replace the breastplate with Nightslayer BP whenever you get the chance. It's 10 less FR, but the stats on it make up for it.

What guild are you in now Buu? I know TOG kind of died.
 
Nothing wrong with green +FR items. FR is really only for rag who only does Fire Damage so.. don't worry about stat loss! We have palys in leather, rogues in cloth and warriors in mail and we take rag to <=20% on first sons every time, and last time killed him with 3 deaths total, including reckless executes.
