Marweas, Thrax - So when's the announcement of the announcement?

I know you won't announce Tribes the Next release dates, give screenshots, etc... until a major magazine comes out with it, but roughly when will a major magazine come out with it? Or maybe you could announce a date that you will give an announcement of when the major magazine article will announce the release dates and give screenshots... Throw me a bone and give me something to look forward to here.

Buk, go get cryogenically frozen so that by the time they figure out how to unfreeze you without killing you, Tribes 3 will have certainly been released. Good luck!
 
Something occurs every year in may and new games usually get announced around that time. I do believe this was hinted at a little bit ago. Can't remember if it was forums or IRC.

No, it's industry only. However, there will be a get-together of TW people around that time - there are tons of parties. You should come.
 
heya...time for me to speculate...

Valve was originally going to use the Quake engine for TF2, then stopped midstride to create their own. Rumors have it they are doing really well on that NEW engine.

thrax and marweas have both said that "an unamed developer" (down under?) is working on The Next Tribes Game using a NEW game engine.

Valve works for Sierra....

so......

The new Tribes game will use the same engine being created for Valve's Team Fortress 2.

now if you'll excuse me, i am going to go open AL Capone's vault on live TV.....

hey marweas , i am going to be in LA (from au) around the time of E3. Any chance serria would sponsor me a ticket?
 
Thrax said in the thread on T3.org that showing off tech at e3 was not the current plan or something along those lines. That doesn't mean that they won't announce the game before it though. Who knows ;)

To E3? It's usually not that tough to be a pass for the last day of the show. No promises, but if I have a spare not promised anyone else already, I'll be happy to share. Are you going to be around the whole time of the show hanging out, or are you just in the area?

Even if I can't get you in the show, you should come to one of the parties.
 
I am maily going to be on the east coast for a holiday. However i am stopping over in LA on the way back from the 14th to 17th of may.
