got one where the GC stopped paying the roofer so he stopped doing the work. then it rained. glad I'm the agent and not the claims adjuster (or the homeowner).

It’s the homeowner’s attempt at a bathroom remodel. It’s pretty much a tear out (again). I was suggesting scaling back the plans and making it functional as this is a bit far beyond his ability.... it’s just like... the framed wall is 1/2 covering the ceiling light box... so how is he planning on drywalling that.... or doesn’t want a light in the bathroom?? I don’t know.... and the vent for the toilet is flush with the existing wall so can’t really drywall that either.... just so much is not done right to even start my part.... he got a sliding barn door but there’s not enough wall space to slide it over... so like, you’re gonna need a bi-fold... I don’t know, a couple YouTube videos would’ve saved some time. Can’t drywall anything without reworking the reworked work. Just kinda a sad moment when you gotta point out the countless mistakes to the guy and can’t help him out. Guys like this need to stick to backsplashes and mulching and just save up.
I would’ve taken some pictures but couldn’t. Some of the worst most bizarre work I’ve seen. It was also fascinating at the same time.
