Yeah but the Casino Gold on the back makes it hard to maintain night vision.

I really like the white but I don't know that I can pull off a white gretsch.. fender is one thing.

The green reminds me of british racing green and I love it.

But man, that cherry

Also, there are 2 green 2 cherry and 1 white to choose from.. so a lot comes down to feel but assuming all of that is equal, I am torn.

They are sound holes basically. Almost all hollow body guitars have them but not all. They give it a little more of a full bodied sound

So I played all 5 for quite awhile. The 2 green ones looked the best imo, the Cherry wasn't quite all that in person but nice, though for some reason both of the cherry were not great playing or sounding. It was the 1 year only color (limited edition) but they kinda sucked.

The white one which was not my favorite color played freaking awesome. Out of all of them it had it. That made the decision easy. It pays to play a few.

I own 8 guitars. I have sold or traded another 4. They started as expected.. Squier, Epiphone then Fender and Gibson, I had a Schecter Hellraiser C-1, Then a Fender elite then ESP... and I am on my 4th? Acoustic.

Doesn't take much to get me excited about a guitar. I play all of them. I rotate as the mood hits and I will generally play the same guitar for 3 or 4 days then change again. When I first started playing I sank hours and hours into each session but as I have gotten older I tend to play for a couple of hours (multiple breaks for my hands) but after a 1 or 2 hour session. I am done for the day... mostly.

This Gretsch though.. I always wanted one since forever.. google artists who use white falcon and you will see why I have wanted one. FYI the Falcon is the $3500.00+ version of what I have. I ain't spending 3500.. the most I have spent is 1600 on an ESP and I love that guitar but that is my personal limit. I can't make myself spend more than that on a guitar.

Anyway.. you play for any amount of time and you will hear people talking about how great a gretsch is. I have never picked one up except for noodling at a guitar center or something. (I don't buy **** from GC, but I will go in a play their guitars) and I play Sweet Child of Mine just to piss them off. (They long for the days of Stairway... for real)

So to make a short story long.. I started playing this guitar as soon as I got home. I did a quick setup and string change after about an hour.. that took me 45 minutes or so.. I posted the pics here but then something strange happened. I had sex with the guitar lol (just seeing if you are paying attention) Not really. No the weird thing was I couldn't put it down.

I spent all night playing it and I have already picked it up today. 900 dollar guitar and I can't put it down. I am so hooked on it. There is a sound in most guitarists head. They spend hours and hours looking for that sound. I think I found it.

What is the most technically difficult song you can play?
Do you have a few favourite guitarists?

I'm asking because I took 10 years classical piano and still play-- I'm interested in people that like music, no matter their political stuff.

Technically difficult is a loaded question. For instance my absolute favorite guitarist is David Gilmour. His music isn't fast and the solos are not particularly difficult to play. However.. to make it sound like David is damn near impossible. His touch is one of a kind.

I can't play as fast as I used to.. fingers are an issue with RA. But I was never lighting boy.

It is hard to say really. I mean if I get hair up my ass I can learn anything almost. Classical, flamenco is out of my reach for the most part.. too hard.. I find jazz difficult but mostly cause I don't like it.

What I mostly play nowdays.. since I got a looper pedal, is just some chords and and a few overdubs for a soundscape and then just solo over it. I can get lost doing that.

I guess.

and

Danish Pete - Youtube guy for Anderton's that toured with Tom Jones, Il Divo, Lionel Richie, Nicole Scherzinger, Atomic Kitten, West Life, Girls Aloud, Paloma Faith. He is a looper pedal master.

This is what I am talking about.. I'm just not as good as Pete.

Never played a Bigsby that would stay in tune.
Don't like the guitar or any of the colors personally... But I guess White or Cherry.
