To a true collector it would be if you had the history of the weapon. Who it was issued to, their service record, all deployments/battle history.

I have a Winchester M-14 1958 manufacture rifle in battlefield used condition, not de-miled, complete with issue records. Issued to 2 different men in 1963 and again in 1964.

Run of the mill M-14 5 - 6000.

Current value based on last credible offer for mine is $24,000.

Blood adds value.

I got my Garand from the CMP and hang out on their forums from time to time.

Every one of these pistols will sell, and the buyers will feel lucky.

I'd love to find out if my Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk I killed some krauts. It was made in 1943 at ROF Maltby and still works like a charm.
