this card is very problematic 4 many reason

instead of nerfing jades they try 2 soft nerf by releasing this card

the stat line sucks so no 1 will ever run 2 of these in a deck which meansd u have a little better than 1/30 chance to draw it. additionally u have 2 mulligan 4 this card in all druid matchup and it is a dead card vs aggro

this card also do nothin about jades that have already been created so maybe u get blown out by the time u play it

blizz sucks at balance
 
the whole counter system via these tech cards is retarded since it just nerfs your deck against other shit. what they really need to add is a sideboard option.
 
Should have retired the ramp jade card. Druid ramp is nuts into early death knight or infestation. Also nerf wild growth so it doesn't give card draw, make it just dead late game. Skulking geist was the worst choice, so of course blizzard made it. Just like the pirate crab was released when pirate was cancer.

Too hard to make not cancer, must make bad tech cards. GG blizzard.

In an upcoming update, we will be making balance changes to the following cards:

Innervate

Now reads: Gain 1 Mana Crystal this turn only. (Down from 2)

Fiery War Axe

Now costs 3 mana. (Up from 2)

Hex

Now costs 4 mana. (Up from 3)

Murloc Warleader

Now reads: Your other Murlocs have +2 Attack. (Down from +2 Attack, +1 Health)

Spreading Plague

Now costs 6 mana. (Up from 5)



what in the EVER LOVING FUCK are they thinking with the innervate and FWA nerfs?
fuck you control warrior, fuck you ramp druid because of OP or obnoxious decks in the current meta and they'd rather not give people dust. and wtf was wrong with hex? warleader I dunno, it doesn't bother me but I don't think it was oppressive, and spreading plague is whatever

these guys are bad at design
 
War leader problem was the + health interactions, annoying mechanic and complicated for new players only became a problem when they started making good murlocs.

Fiery War axe has been one of the best cards in the game forever, sucks it gets nerfed but they want to create space for new cards in classes. This doesn't seem that dumb.

There were probably better solutions to "fix" Druid, but innervate was the easiest one. Still useful in a deck that wants cheap spells (yogg, auctioneer) but otherwise it will be worthless now. I would have rather seen nourish give empty crystals and wild growth not give card draw.

Think the dev comment on Hex was about future cards they want to make.

im kinda shocked ppl play this game still tbh

if it didnt have the blizz logo on it, it would have died years ago

I left to play Eternal earlier this year and don't miss HS in the slightest.

And happy, wtf are you going to do with a sideboard in a best of 1 game like HS? Although I also agree that teching counters to specific net decks gimps you against everything else. Maybe ladder matches should be best of 3? Would that do any good when the meta is pumped full of dumb shit like pirate warriors that determine the game by turn 1? Too many questions about saving a game that is not worth saving.

well... for a game like HS if you see a class, 90% of the time its the same deck. so ya, sideboard would be great. like with pirate warrior example, theres easily 5-10 cards you can add/replace to give you an extremely favorable matchup.

if anything, itll actually force people to build more original shit... so they cant be sideboard countered. its win-win imo.

it wont happen in HS though cuz the devs are overly conservative twats that are afraid to make the most basic changes "cuz itd confuse the new player"

hearthstone business model

1. split game into standard/wild and promote only standard forcing the majority to maintain newer decks and therefore get newer cards... $$$
2. add power creep every xpac making everyone get the newer cards... $$$
3. add 3x the expansions as before amplifying #2 and making f2p 3x more difficult... $$$$$$$$
4. add 2x more legendaries each xpac as before. many of which are now meta defining... $$$

its as if the activision and ea ceos are having a competition to see who can outjew the other
 
To be fair standard block is right out of magic playbook. MTG arena is in closed beta. The next digital product for wizards.
